Welcome to the latest Squire Fan Club Newsletter, and to all the new members who signed up for the weekly email! Firstly, we are excited to announce that the latest single 'My Mind Goes Round In Circles b/w Does Stephanie Know? due for release on 16th October, has arrived in stock a week earlier than expected and we will be sending them out first thing on Monday! There are still some copies in stock for those who enjoy the thrill of last minute shopping!
We are keeping the newsletter short this week because we have many hours of wrapping records to look forward to over the weekend......nevertheless as promised last week, we are running a special competition for Squire Fan Club members, those of you who are subscribed to the mailing list here. So if you enjoy reading these newsletters but come direct, or follow a link through Facebook or Bandcamp etc. we encourage you to join the mailing list as this is the key to joining in with special competitions, receiving news first, getting 'first dibs' on limited edition issues, special merch and rare stuff!
So the competition question is:
Q. Last weeks newsletter revealed that the photo of 'Stephanie' on the flip side of the single was taken in Foxenden Quarry Park in Guildford Surrey. There is another park mentioned in a Squire single... What is the name of the park and where is it??
Please email your answers to info@squirenet.co.uk with Competition in the Subject line, and we will pick a winner on 17th October, and you can see who wins live on screen next week!
The prize is a White Label copy of the single! White labels are very special hand pressed editions of the record. Only a few are made and they are used to check the quality of the 'cut' before approving for final manufacture. They weigh 75-80 grams compared to normal vinyl single 45-50 grams, are of the highest quality and fidelity, and very hard to come by. Hence they are the ultimate prized possession of avid record collectors!
