Hilo Records are excited to have a few copies of the 2024 Mods Mayday LP- for Squire Fans!
The album features Squire ' Circular Motion (single mix) - an unreleased track taken from the September Gurls sessions, and 'Stop That Girl (LA Mix)', another unreleased track from the original 1983 Get Smart sessions -this version is different from the London mix that appeared on the original LP, this was mixed at Ocean Way in Los Angeles and is the original 'Squire Fan Club album' melody.
45 years after the original 'Mods Mayday '79' album came out, Heavy Soul released this follow-up album featuring bands who were also appearing at the 2024 London event.
Original MM'79 contributors SECRET AFFAIR and SQUIRE are present along with other '79 faves PURPLE HEARTS, CHORDS, NINE BELOW ZERO and THE CIRCLES alongside current trailblazers SHARP CLASS and BLOCK 33.
Available in Red vinyl, black vinyl and CD (featuring 7 more tracks and contributions from THE MARK THREE and CHELSEA CURVE) this was released in time for the actual event at the 229 Club in London.
