Before they became The Bangles, they were The Bangs! When this single arrived in the post, I couldn’t believe it—why were there no UK bands doing this? By the time I got to LA, they had already released The Real World EP and were well on their way.
Favourites of Rodney Bingenheimer, they were a major part of the LA sound—talented, informed, and seriously accomplished. The harmonies on this track are incredible. Packaged in true indie style—a folded paper sleeve in a polythene bag—it sounds fragile yet full of promise. Their Get Ready to Go, or the Beatles’ All My Loving.
